Rep. Morgan Irwin discusses on KUOW the Seattle PD shooting of woman brandishing knife
Rep. Morgan Irwin, R-Enumclaw, who is a Seattle police officer, talks with KUOW's Bill Radke about officer safety and the safety of the public following the shooting by Seattle police officers of Charleena Lyles. Lyles, who was pregnant, called police to report a stolen game console. After the officers arrived, the woman was shot after she reportedly threatened them with a knife. Former Seattle Police Chief Norm Stamper also joins in this conversation on KUOW's “The Record.”
